COATING THICKNESS GAUGE
The MiniTest 650 Series is designed for rugged use and offers high precision performance for field or shop environments. The design platform is based off the existing MiniTest 600 Series but now with enhanced components offering even greater reliability and dependability. The new ergonomic twist on the housing design and a rubber rimed perimeter helps protect against incidental shock....typical in field settings, almost unavoidable.
The MiniTest 650 Series is available in three models;
The MiniTest 650 F is supplied with a Magnetic Induction sensor for measuring non-magnetic coatings over ferrous substrates.
The MiniTest 650 N is supplied with an Eddy Current sensor for non-conductive coatings over non-ferrous substrates.
The MiniTest 650 FN is a dual sensor for measuring coatings over both ferrous and non-ferrous substrates. This sensor has a auto-recognize feature whereby it recognizes the substrate and automatically switches to the appropriate measuring principle.
Application
Non-destructive coating thickness measurement:
Non-magnetic coatings like varnishes, enamels, chrome and zinc on ferromagnetic base materials (e.g. steel)
Insulating coatings like varnishes and anodising aluminium on non-ferrous metals (e.g. aluminium, copper, die-cast zinc)
Characteristics
Coating thickness measurement of up to 2 and 3 mm
Universal probe offering automatic substrate identification for quick measurement on steel and non-ferrous metals
Wear-resistant probe tips with practically unlimited durability
USB-interface to transfer data to a PC
Statistical evaluation of the readings (measurement data)
